Art Gallery

Did you know that Macquarie has its own on-campus art gallery, which showcases some of the best art from both Australia and overseas? Come and check out the latest exhibition – Zoo graphia – for an Open Day cultural injection. The depiction of animals in art has changed the perceptions and values we accord to and the empathy we feel with the animal kingdom. This cross-disciplinary exhibition – in collaboration with the Department of Biology and the Department of Media, Music Communication and Cultural Studies – investigates the diversity and characteristics of animals, and raises moral and ethical questions regarding our treatment of animals on a global scale.
